Software, services & licences

The main technical components and external services behind Camperwolf.

Camperwolf is built on several open-source projects and a small number of external services. This page lists the main components that are relevant for users, privacy or licence notices.

This is intentionally not a complete inventory of every technical dependency. Small internal libraries and development-only tools are not listed individually. Licence and copyright notices that must remain with software packages are retained in the relevant packages and project files regardless of this overview.

Core software

Laravel

Camperwolf uses Laravel as its server-side web framework.

Livewire

Camperwolf uses Livewire for interactive parts of the user interface.

Livewire Flux

Parts of the user interface use Livewire Flux.

Flux is used under the licence provided for that software. It is not an open-source package under the MIT, BSD or a comparable free software licence.

Tailwind CSS

Camperwolf uses Tailwind CSS for interface styling.

Leaflet

The interactive map is displayed using Leaflet.

Maps and geodata

OpenStreetMap

Camperwolf uses map data from OpenStreetMap.

OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL). The required attribution to OpenStreetMap and its contributors is shown directly on the map.

Photon

Camperwolf currently uses komoot's public Photon service for address search, reverse lookup and certain place selections.

Photon is an open-source geocoder based on OpenStreetMap data.

When you use a related search function, a request is sent to the Photon service. Further information about this can be found in the FAQ and, in particular, in the privacy policy.

Email delivery

Brevo

Camperwolf uses Brevo for transactional email such as email verification and password resets.

Brevo is an external service rather than an open-source library embedded in Camperwolf, so there is no open-source software licence to list here.

Further information about the related data processing can be found in the privacy policy.

What does this mean for Camperwolf?

The projects and services listed above remain the property or works of their respective rights holders. Their use within Camperwolf does not imply a partnership, endorsement or official affiliation with those providers.

Where a licence requires visible attribution, it is shown in the appropriate place. This applies in particular to OpenStreetMap data on the map.

This page will be updated when Camperwolf adds other major services or technical components that are relevant for transparency, privacy or licence notices.
