Delete account

If you no longer want to use Camperwolf, you can permanently delete your account.

Before you continue, Camperwolf shows you how many photos, reviews, created places and change suggestions are connected to your account.

You do not have to delete your account

If you want to take a break from Camperwolf or simply stop using it, you do not have to delete your account.

Inactive accounts are not deleted automatically. There is no problem with simply leaving your account as it is if you are not using Camperwolf at the moment. You can come back later.

Account deletion is intended for cases where you specifically want your account and personal data to be permanently removed.

You have two options:

Delete in 30 days

If you choose "Delete in 30 days", your account is first scheduled for deletion and you are signed out.

Your data is not permanently deleted yet. During those 30 days, you can still cancel the deletion. After the 30-day period, permanent deletion is carried out automatically.

This option gives you time to change your mind.

Delete immediately

If you choose immediate deletion, permanent deletion starts as soon as you confirm it.

There is no 30-day waiting period and no way to cancel the deletion afterwards.

Important: Permanent means permanent. Once deletion has been completed, we cannot restore your account or the data that was removed.

What is deleted?

When your account is permanently deleted, your personal account data is removed or anonymized. This includes, among other things:

• your name and email address
• profile information such as your bio, hometown, date of birth, vehicle information and social media links
• account settings and consents
• favorites
• notifications
• XP, badge progress and unlocked badges
• passkeys and two-factor authentication data
• existing data exports
• your uploaded photos and the associated files
• the text of your reviews

Your previous public profile will no longer be connected to your former account identity.

What remains?

Some information cannot simply be removed from the database because it is needed to keep Camperwolf working correctly and to preserve a traceable history of changes.

This may include, for example:

• places you created
• change suggestions you submitted and their history
• rating values from previous reviews - the written review text is removed and the review itself is no longer published
• technical or administrative history
• support records where they still need to be retained

Where this information remains, its connection to your personal account data is removed or it is linked only to an anonymized deleted account. Your name, email address and previous public profile are no longer displayed through it.

Before deleting: download your data

If you want to keep a copy of your data, request a data export under My data and download it before permanent deletion.

Existing export files are also deleted when your account is permanently deleted.
